#06 Orange Burnt Tree

This image was produced in the Wind River Range which runs north, northwest for about 100 miles and connects with the Teton's in Wyoming. An area called the Cirque of the Towers is located in this rugged range and is accessible from east or west.

Due to a backpack that weighs around eighty-five pounds when fully loaded with camera and gear, I prefer to traverse to the Cirque from the Big Sandy Campground, which is the shorter but more rugged route from the west.

The last mile before entering the Cirque is sheer agony due to the terrain and elevation; however, when you finally reach the top and your eyes catch a glimpse of what awaits you on the other side, your lungs and legs soon forget the rigorous eight hours it took to drop into the Cirque of the Towers... enjoy!
