#14 Texas Bluebonnets

With the right amount of rain during early spring in the Texas Hill Country, which is located around Fredericksburg, one can find hillside after hillside with bluebonnets in bloom. Springtime in Texas is also known for windy conditions that will definitely stretch every photographers patience when photographing wildflowers.

I was blessed with an unbelievable bloom in 2001, but was forced to wait three days to photograph due to gusty winds that would not subside. My fourth day brought overcast skies which I prefer when shooting wildflowers, and winds dropped to a level that could be tolerated... enjoy!

Image #22, 24, and 31 was also made during my fourth day.
