#33 Let it Flow
With the numerous streams that flow throughout the Smokies, I wish I would have passed on this image. I looked at the overall composition and felt that I wanted the big boulders to register on each lower corner of the image, which meant that I had to shoot from the middle of the stream.
No big deal because most streams throughout the park are only one to two feet deep, and when I occasionally decide to shoot in the middle of a stream, I just take off my boots and slip on my Nike nylon shoes that I always carry with me when working around water.
I waded out to my desired location which was about a foot and a half deep, but the slippery moss covered rocks that lined the bed of the stream put me flat on my back. Fortunately I did not have camera and tripod in hand, but I had to work wet the majority of the day... enjoy!
