#36 Split Rail Fence & Fog

Whenever I make a winter trip into the mountains, invariably the coldest front of the winter will swoop down from the north bringing daytime highs in the teens and minus degree temps at night; when coupled with winds that never seem to cease during the day, it can be downright miserable.

This particular morning greeted me with a plus seven degrees and the winds were dead still. By the time I snowshoed about three quarters of a mile to this location, I was toasty warm; however, the low hanging clouds completely obscured the mountain and forced me to wait close to an hour before I could make the shot.

By the time I captured the shot and broke down equipment, my toes and fingers didn't have much feeling in them, but once I got back on the move to scout an evening location, it was downright enjoyable... enjoy!
