#41 Havasu Falls
Havasu Falls is located on land that belongs to the Navajo Indian in Supai, Arizona. The falls may slightly change every few years depending on how rocks get shifted or break off during storms that occasionally hit this part of the region. I have seen images of Havasu where it was just a single flow of water, but was delighted when I arrived and saw the double falls.
To reach the falls one must backpack around ten miles, and since it is virtually all downhill going in, it's a piece of cake. Coming out however is no problem with a normal backpack weight of around forty pounds... my pack is definitely not normal in weight as it usually tips the scales at around eighty-five pounds going in and around eighty pounds coming out.
If you're not in good shape, go ahead and make the trip as you can pay the Navajo Indians to haul your gear in and out, or they will take you and your gear by horseback for a nominal fee... enjoy!
