#45 Hang on Tight
If I had to pick one season and location to produce all of my photographic images, without-a-doubt, I would select Colorado in the fall. The Aspens reach their optimum colors, snowfalls of six to eight inches are certainly not uncommon at higher elevations during this time of year, and temperatures usually drop a few degrees below the freezing mark each night.
This shot was produced after a very cold night in which the temperatures dipped into the mid-twenties; however, the temperatures were rapidly climbing as I filmed along this beautiful stream where ice had formed overnight and anchored its grip on every rock, log or branch from splashing water.
These huge icicles were Čapproximately three feet in length and to make them stand out against the rushing water, I tried to position the camera so they would be framed against the black boulders or deep shadows... enjoy!
