#50 Just a Yucca
I always wanted to find the perfect symmetrical Yucca so I could compose an overhead view looking down into the center of the plant.
I was graced with such a find as I headed for the Grand Canyon after photographing in the slots around Page, Arizona. It was around 3:45 p.m.
when I saw this giant Yucca on the side of the road, but I just kept driving because I've stopped probably no less than one hundred times to look at Yucca's, all of which were n ot symmetrical.
As I continued to drive, that little voice inside my head went off encouraging me to turn around. Since I've wanted to find the perfect Yucca, and especially since I make a living through photography, I figured I better pull over and go back for a quick look.
Needless-to-say, when I looked down inside the Yucca, I was ecstatic to view what I considered perfect balance within the plant. It was now a little after 4 p.m. with sunshine remaining at full strength, and since I didn't want an image with high contrast, I waited just past sundown before making the photo... enjoy!
