#56 Raining Leaves

I recorded about eight exposures of this scene before I was confident that no leaves were fluttering through the composition during the one second exposures. I also try to fire my shutter when winds momentarily subside, and since I was concentrating so hard on leaves that seemed to be falling like rain, I wasn't sure if I had neglected to notice movement of the branches and leaves due to the light wind.

I ended up shooting a full roll of 220 film on this composition because I felt I would consider it a spectacular image once I viewed the transparencies on the light table. Needless-to-say I wasn't disappointed, but I'm certainly thankful I shot a full roll of film, because out of twenty transparencies there were only three that did not have falling leaf streaks through the image... enjoy!
