Steps to Quality and Your Guarantee
Limited Edition Fine Art Prints

The Cibachrome print was once the industries standard for quality, but due to new technology in creating the fine art print, nearly all professional labs have forsaken the Cibachrome process. While traditional printing of some kind is still offered by professional labs, the majority have switched to inkjet printers, and the printer of choice generally seems to be the Epson 7600 & 9600.

For many years my limited edition fine art prints were Cibachromes, but when I do a side-by-side comparison of a Cibachrome and Epson 7600 print, I invariably choose the Epson 7600 inkjet print over the Cibachrome.

Creating one of my nature/landscape limited edition fine art prints generally starts in the back country of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, or Arizona. I photograph my subjects using the Mamiya RB67 ProSD camera system, and since it is my opinion that medium/large format remains superior to digital, especially when producing enlargements of any size, I remain loyal to Fujichrome Provia film.

After capturing an image on film, my next step in producing the fine art print involves scanning the transparency into a digital file, and my scanner of choice is without a doubt Imacon scanners. These scanners flex the transparencies over a laser, and since nothing but air comes between the transparency and laser, the level of sharpness obtained in the digital file is unbelievable.

My limited edition prints are then produced on the Epson 7600 and my choice of paper is the German made Hahnemuhle Fine Art Photo Rag 308g/qm. When combined with the Ultrachrome Inks of the Epson 7600 printer, the fine art prints I produce will have a longevity of around fifty years when properly displayed and framed behind conservation glass.

I guarantee you will be 100% satisfied with the print you receive, but if for any reason you are not totally satisfied, you may return the print undamaged within two weeks of receiving it. Postage and insurance will be your responsibility, as I will not be responsible if the print is lost or damaged upon return.

Please note: When viewing images over the internet, resolution has been decreased to very low level so the viewer does not have to wait long for images to appear. The low level resolution images then appear a little washed out, but still give a fairly good representation of the image.

Be assured that my Fine Art Prints (Limited Edition Prints of 250 start at sizes of 16 x 20 and up), I produce on the Epson 7600 have a beautiful contrast level and colors are true to life in saturation...I fully guarantee my work to your satisfaction, and if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the final print, you may return it within a two week period after receiving it.
